I don’t think it’s a secret that I am not the biggest fan of my cat.

Miffy the Monster

Some cats would appear to be nice, the ones I am friends with on Twitter for example, seem very friendly, and I am willing to admit that most of them are quite pretty too.

But my cat, Miffy is not nice at all.  She is very cunning and thinks she’s clever, because she fools Mom and Dad into believing she’s cute. They think she is wonderful! I really don’t understand how she does it. I mean, she doesn’t play with anything, she only likes fuss when SHE is in the mood, and she doesn’t come when called! She doesn’t even make any noise when she meows, I reckon someone turned her volume off!

The next door neighbours seem to like her too. They are old and have three cats, but Miffy goes in through their catflap and eats their catfood! The stupid cats just let her!! As if she’s the Queen or something!

Can you imagine the uproar if I did that??

Miffy has some very strange habits too. She likes to sit in things, boxes, drawers, even plant pots. Mom thinks thats cute!  I think it’s stupid. There’s no accounting for taste.

Miffy was a few years old when I joined the family, and she took an instant dislike to me. She bossed Mom’s last dog around, but Candy was small and didn’t seem to mind. I am big and in the habit of chasing furries so I guess she’s not too impressed.  No need for her to be so mean to me though, is there? She is all claws and teeth when I am around.

I don’t think we will ever be friends. She will continue to live upstairs, and sleep on Mom’s bed. Some cats have all the luck.
